Why the heck does the Hobgoblin Warcaster have the "War" keyword? What new mechanic/book/spell focus/build option is that hinting at?

the Dire bear Mauler is enormously powerful in sealed, since there are more than enough creatures with immobilize effects. I experienced it firsthand yesterday.

It has some trouble with high AC pieces, in my experience.

I like him as well, the insert in the booster tells us he can use defensive overdrive even if the attack that triggers it kills him and even if using it kills him. He is going to get the 'last word' in in any fist fight .

On topic:

You have no idea how much I keep refreshing DDMSpoilers and Hordelings while I'm working to see when someone will post the last few stats. The Concord Illithid and that darn black dragon that people have been talking about warbands with. Curse my impatience!

Oh and Holy Crap, that makes the Thoon even better. He's slow but at least he's in factions that will speed him up. But really...he totally looks like an idea candidate for the Gnome Trickster's Company. Invisibility to let him get where he needs to be (most likely) safely and Snakes Swiftness to pour on the horrible damage. Not to mention a handful of bodyguards. Still good Burst attack meat, but man, fun stuff all around.
